A ministry of Trinity United Methodist Church

Early in 1961, the ministerial staff of Trinity United Methodist Church was approached by a church member with the idea of starting a nursery school.  The trustees of the church approved the idea, and the nursery school was started.  The nursery school was set up as a non-denominational, non-profit organization with the goal of meeting all state guidelines. These goals proved small by comparison to what the future held for the school.  The preschool continued to grow from a small staff to many teachers and a hearty enrollment.

The history of Trinity Christian School is one of God's blessing and continued growth.  In 1994, in response to the constituents of Trinity Nursery School, the first kindergarten class opened.  This began the process of developing and establishing a quality elementary program.  At this time, the name was changed to Trinity Christian School.  In 1995, a first grade was added with an enrollment of five students.  From that point, a grade was added each year until ultimately becoming a Pre-K through Grade 12 school. In 2016, the decision was made to return to the roots of TCS and focus the attention on early childhood and elemantary education. Currently, we are a preschool through 6th grade school serving the Greater Hartford community.

It is obvious that God's blessing has been on the school as we have grown over the past 50 plus years. Trinity Christian School's goal is to follow the Lord's leading in our continued growth and scholastic endeavors.
